Established in 1977, IDS is dedicated to the development and provision of innovative immunoassays for use in clinical and research laboratories worldwide.
Headquartered in the UK, IDS has subsidiaries in the USA, Germany, France, Denmark, Finland and Belgium and a 233-strong workforce.
The Challenge
With sites worldwide, IDS saw an integrated global system as a way of significantly improving communications and increasing productivity. The senior management team had a clearly defined long term strategy for their communications infrastructure and a vision of what they wanted to achieve but needed a company with the technical expertise, experience and proven quality of service to deliver it.
Executel was therefore appointed to embark on a three year design and implementation project to deliver a global unified communications solution that would support the company’s vast geographical spread in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
