It’s an unfortunate fact that in today’s telecom industry, a lack of diligence is all too common when transferring telephony services to a new provider. Firms are bombarded with ‘cheap’ call rate offers and the promise of low cost line rentals which on the surface make a compelling case to transfer services. And with what seems like an attractive proposition to save money, it’s no wonder that businesses are seduced into switching providers who in turn, will simply transfer lines on a like for like basis – no questions asked.
However, Executel research shows this transfer process to be a flawed method particularly in a multi or large site provision. We have yet to find a single company that can pinpoint every line within its operation and more importantly, know its use. As a result, we provide our customers with a Managed Administration Service to oversee the allocation and subsequent use of lines.
